The Lion brand has unveiled the new Peugeot 208, the electric version of which is now capable of offering up to 400 km range. The Lion also introduced new colours, with Agueda Yellow being chosen for the launch, while Selenium Grey is more elegant and discreet.
Seven colours are generally available: Agueda Yellow, Selenium Grey, Artense Grey, Pearl Black, Banchisa White, Elixir Red and Vertigo Blue. The New 208 has been updated with Peugeot's new brand identity, with the latest font and badges.
Inside comes the new black Alcantara upholstery with visible Adamite green stitching, available as an option on the GT. The manual gearbox control has been revamped: we have a new knob to manage the 6 gears on the manual thermal variants, while the automatics retain the latest generation selector.
Technologically speaking, the new 208 offers the advanced i-Cockpit, now even more connected and ergonomic. As a central screen we have a 10" on all trims, whereas previously the first two trims had a 7" screen. The steering wheel is compact, ambient lighting is dynamic on GT versions.
Looking at the engines, the new 208 offers two solutions with PEUGEOT HYBRID 48V technology with 100 hp or 136 hp, both based on PureTech petrol engines. For those who do not want hybrid technology, there are two petrol engines on the list with 75 hp and 100 hp, based on a 3-cylinder, 1.2-litre PureTech engine.
Particularly interesting is the new Peugeot E-208, an electric with a 115 kW/156 hp motor, which is fitted with a 51 kWh battery and promises a range of up to 400 km. As standard, the on-board charger is a single-phase 7.4 kW, but an 11 kW three-phase is available as an option. At DC stations, on the other hand, it is possible to recharge up to 100 kW of power, which means we can go from 20 to 80 per cent in less than 30 minutes.
