The Dutch shipyard Holterman presented the new yacht in its Xtreme yachts range of multi-purpose motor yachts, the 20-metre Xtreme-60.

Its sporty lines are emphasised by the fully glazed wheelhouse with inverted windshield and the 'Thumblehome' design of the hull that lends elegance to the boat.

The boat is propelled by two Volvo Penta D6-300 hp engines that offer a range of approximately 1100 miles. The boat will be launched in 2024 and is scheduled for a cruise in Norway with the owners.

Hull and superstructure construction work
The construction of the hull has already been completed and work is now underway on the superstructure. The design includes complex shapes and numerous openings in the hull to let in natural light. In late spring, the two parts will be joined together and the boat will be taken to the Holterman shipyard in Meppel for completion. The boat will then be launched in 2024 before setting off on a cruise to Norway.

Luxurious and cozy interiors
The interior of the Xtreme-60 was designed according to the owner's wishes and offers luxurious accommodation designed by Kitty van der Kamp. The main deck is a large, open and bright space connected to the cockpit saloon. The space is divided between a saloon, a dining room and a galley. In the bow is the semi-divided wheelhouse, which offers good visibility to all sides and aft. The lower deck is configured with a huge master cabin that spans the entire width of the boat, with ample storage space, a desk and a table.

Technical characteristics of the boat
Propulsion of the Xtreme-60 is provided by two Volvo Penta D6-300 hp engines that offer a cruising speed of 8 or 11 knots at full throttle. In combination with a 5,000-litre fuel tank, this configuration offers a range of approximately 1100 miles. Comfort at sea and at anchor is ensured by a DMS stabilisation system. The Xtreme-60 can also be adapted for tropical sailing and, in addition, crew accommodation can be added in the aft lounge or the lower deck saloon can be converted into a third cabin.

Flexible bow deck and beach club layout options
What attracted the new owners to the Xtreme-60 were the larger Xtreme's floor-to-ceiling windows and the layout options of the foredeck, as well as the large interior volume. On the aft side is a flexible beach club with a bench that offers a view of the sea when the transom is closed. The hydraulically opening hatch reveals a deep garage for storing water toys, diving equipment, bicycles and other equipment. The swim platform can be lowered for easy access to the sea and also serves as a lifting and storage point for a tender up to 5.5 metres long.
