SUPERCAR
Italdesign Zerouno: the extreme Grand Tourer with F1 technology travelling at 330 km/h
Italdesign, one of Italy's most famous car manufacturers, presented its Italdesign Zerouno creation at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show.
The Zerouno, a supercar displaying an innovative and futuristic design, was the first car entirely designed and built in-house by Italdesign, a subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group.
Despite being a unique and very expensive model, the Zerouno proves to be a car based on a common platform, that of the Lamborghini Huracán, using the latter's V10 engine and dual-clutch gearbox.
Geneva Motor Show 2017
The Italdesign Zerouno was a Gran Turismo unveiled in 2017 with extreme shapes dictated by aerodynamics and produced in only five units. The approach followed by the designers from Moncalieri (Italy) involved an ultra-light body entirely in carbon fibre with daring aerodynamic solutions borrowed from F1 single-seaters
A touch of Volkswagen
The Zerouno, a supercar displaying an innovative and futuristic design, was the first car entirely designed and built in-house by Italdesign, a subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group. The Italdesign factory combined its aesthetic aptitude with the expertise of the Volkswagen Group's research and development team to create a car with mind-blowing performance.
Engine
The 5.2-litre V10 engine, increased to 610 hp and 560 Nm of torque, was twice as powerful as the standard version of the Lamborghini Huracán and Audi R8. The Zerounoera was able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds and reach a top speed of 330 km/h.
An iconic car
The feat was achieved and the result was remarkable. The Zerouno is the essence of Italian design and a symbol of beauty and technology, establishing itself as one of the most iconic cars of recent years.
A great tribute from Italdesign to the automotive industry
The Zerouno is Italdesign's tribute to high-end car manufacturers with disruptive power. Design and technology are intertwined in a mix of elegance, aggression and aerodynamics: the Zerouno remains fascinating and distinctive.
Over a million dollars to get it
Despite being a unique and very expensive model, the Zerouno proved to be a car based on a common platform, that of the Lamborghini Huracán, using the latter's V10 engine and dual-clutch gearbox. It was offered at a base price of $1.7 million.
