The Plectrum, Lazzarini Design's new luxury yacht, is set to become one of the fastest in its class thanks to its three 15,000 horsepower hydrogen engines.
With a top speed of 75 knots, the Plectrum is designed with a hydrofoil system inspired by America's Cup catamarans.
At 74 metres long and 15 metres wide when moored or anchored, the yacht can accommodate up to six guests in six cabins plus an owner's suite, has two garages and allows for a helicopter landing. The Plectrum is built entirely of carbon fibre composite materials and is set to hit the market in 2025 at a price of around 80 million euros.
Plectrum, the new creation of the renowned Italian design studio Lazzarini, aims to be the fastest yacht in its class, thanks to its power and hydrofoil shape.
Plectrum is scheduled to be launched in 2025, although it is still a concept at the moment, but the premises are excellent.
The yacht is an impressive 74 metres long, which makes it impressive in terms of size alone.
The idea behind the design of Plectrum was to take inspiration from the catamarans used in the America's Cup and to use the same hydrofoil system for the luxury yacht.
Plectrum is powered by three hydrogen engines, each with a maximum output of 5000 hp, bringing the total power to 15,000 hp.
Thanks to its power, Plectrum can reach a maximum speed of 75 knots, or about 140 km/h.
Attention to detail and the quality of the materials used is one of the hallmarks of the Lazzarini Design studio, and here too Plectrum is no exception: the yacht is made entirely of carbon fibre composite materials.
Plectrum has four floors, with the guest area located on the main floor, comprising six guest cabins and an owner's suite.
Among Plectrum's luxury features are two garages, one for two dinghies and one for other vehicles, including cars, as well as space for positioning helicopters.
The expected price for Plectrum is around 80 million euros, making it one of the most expensive yachts in the world.
